Well Grand Rising beautiful!
And that goes for the fellas too, with your handsome self.
I hope that this weekend was filled with fun, rest and rejuvenation for you. Mine was filled with work, laundry and trying to wrangle in stubborn boys, but that's a whole 'nother post.
What's your mood today? It's the start of a new week and I know that sometimes that can cause an attitude because Mondays do indeed disrupt the weekend vibe. But isn't that why we love weekends? It gives is something to look forward to after a week of work, kids and drama. I don't know what your weeks are like, but mine can be borderline soap opera with the dramatics. Between clocking in and out of work, taking care of my kids, handling my orders, drinking water and minding my business, I'm all tapped out come Saturday evening.
But that's why it's so important to stay on top of your mood. You have to check in with yourself to make sure that your attitude and your energy remains as high as it can so that you can be the best you that you can possibly be. After all, there is only one you and, if you don't take care of you, then who will???
It's no one's job to make sure that you become and remain your best self. Sometimes I get so caught up in what needs to be done and what I have to get done and what will eventually need to get done that I tire myself out before the getting even gets started. What type of mess is that? I get so caught up in what and when that I forget all about the why and who.
Me and because. My mama used to tell me that "because" isn't a reason for anything but as I got older I realize that it is. I don't have to explain. It's just because. And sometimes that's all you need.
If you didn't know by now, I have written a couple of amazing books.
(PS: if you wanna check them out, go to the homepage and scroll down. They are the cute bows with the cuter bows :) )
When I was designing the book covers, bows just had to be a part of the conversation. I didn't know why at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized and developed my own personal motto:
"Life is a gift.
Live in the present."
And it was also around that time that I discovered and started to swear by affirmations. Repeating your wants, needs and desires for YOURSELF several times a day will change your life. If you don't believe it, test out my theory. Let's start today!
Mondays are the best days because, hated though they are, the symbolize the beginning of a new week. And beginnings are the best because they give you time to start over. Thank God, we get a new chance to start something with every sunrise, but also every week.
Soooo, for this inaugural #IssaMoodMonday, we're going to mark the occasion with a social experiment. I'm going to post some affirmations every week, and we're going to repeat them TOGETHER throughout every day this week. You will notice that your thoughts will change and so will your outlook on the week. And if we do them together, the energy will grow. Positive vibes are contagious. Watch what I tell you.
Let's get to it!!!
This week will be amazing.
Great things are happening and I will gladly receive them.
God is my source, and I am co-creator of my life.
I am successful in whatever I give my energy to.
I am limitless.
I am open and receptive to all good things that the Universe will give to me.
Do you feel that stirring in your spirit? I know you do, because I felt it to. Write it down, screenshot it, memorize it. Do whatever you have to do to burn this into your brain. Watch your week change. Watch your world change. And experience the change that you both desire and deserve. And no, your life might not be all sunshine and roses. Hell, have you heard about the year I've had? But I expect the best and so I shall have it.
Change starts with a thought, gets moving with a word and manifest with your love.
And just like that, #IssaMood :)
Check in with me and let me know about all of the amazing things that will happen this week...
